It’s Been a Long and Busy Week in Louisiana

It’s Been a Long and Busy Week in Louisiana

  • 50,000 hot meals have been given out. Many were delivered by our amazing partners GivBak and took them up to 7 hours round trip.
  • Dozens of semi loads of relief aid were delivered to our multiple sites. Including; water, hygiene, bleach, sanitizer/wipes, food, gatorade, etc.
  • Hours long waits for little gas.
  • No running water in many places.
  • Power likely to be out in places like Bourg and LaPlace for 3 more weeks.
  • It’s been hot. People are weary and tired.
  • We are ready to sign up experienced and self contained teams only.
  • Funding has not matched the need. Please give so we can serve these communities and Pastors who have paid it forward with CitiIMPACT since Katrina and Isaac and are now once again in crisis themselves.
  • IDA didn’t spare the NE either. Prayers for the families of the 46 who died. We are in contact with church partners there as well.
