Hurricane Harvey Relief, Texas

Hurricane Harvey hit TX as a Cat 4 Storm on Aug. 25th, 2017

The rains were relentless for three solid days, causing unparalleled flooding. Harvey ended up being one of the costliest US disasters ever, tied only with Katrina. CitiIMPACT responded with over 120 semi loads of relief aid, food, water, cleaning supplies, etc. to our partner churches from Corpus Christi to Beaumont.

Volunteer Teams Responded in Mass Early On.

Now over 6 months later, the need is still great in Texas but volunteers have dwindled somewhat as media focus died down (and two other large scale disasters shifted the attention)

Areas such as Beaumont and Port Arthur who have a lower income populations than some other affected areas are especially in need of your help as they work to rebuild homes and lives.

CitiIMPACT, through our partner churches, are rehabbing flooded homes and doing rebuilds – using our Building Hope homes. Come lend your hearts and hands!

Team from Washington state worked on Ms. Eloise and Mr. James house in February. Eloise is a widow and her brother James is wheelchair bound. Despite working all week on this home, there is still more to be done to get them back home.
